Remove mold and mildew from leather

Mold means the jacket stayed damp in the dark. Work outside if you can. Wipe visible growth with a cloth lightly dampened with diluted white vinegar or isopropyl alcohol on a hidden test patch first.

Dry fully, then condition. Lingering smell or pink staining under the grain means professional leather cleaning. Mildew weakens thread; check pocket mouths and sleeve linings.
